About Us

Archemy Consulting is a small office engaged in several groundbreaking projects through wide, international collaboration. We see ourselves as a “catalyst firm”, helping to foster innovation and quality in the built-environment by strategic use of good information, communication and process. And we are also practical. We have very substantial expertise in design, building science, construction technology, energy, urban planning, environmental technology and health, especially as they apply to green buildings. But most of all, we have communication ability and the experience to motivate people with persuasive ideas about sustainability.

 

Our typical clients are innovative project owners and developers, municipal authorities, architecture and planning firms and government housing and energy agencies.

 

Principal, David Rousseau is an original in the field. Trained in engineering, environmental studies, architecture, urban planning and toxicology, he has decades of experience with healthy buildings, advanced energy efficiency, water and waste recycling systems, green materials and construction. He has guided the design of landmark green projects and led the development of green building performance assessment tools and programs for municipalities and the private sector. He also writes and teaches. David comes to the field from a design and construction background and has never moved far from the “hands on”. He lives and works in a green building where he does most of the construction, maintenance, gardening and inventing.
